Chocolate Chip Banana cake

 

Prep Time: 15 minutes  
Cook Time: 50 minutes  
Serves: 10 to 12 servings

Ingredients:

  1. 2 Medium bananas mashed
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup Butter
  4. 2 eggs (medium sized)

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  6. 1 cup whole wheat flour

  7. 1 cup all purpose flour

  8. A pinch of salt

  9. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  10. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  11. 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  12. 1/2 cup nuts ( Almonds & walnuts)                                                                                                     IMG_3129

Procedure:

  1. Grease a round (7.5 x  2 inch) or square pan ( 7.5 x 4 x 2.5 inches). Dust some dry flour and keep it ready.           
  2. Preheat oven at 180 Centigrade/ 350 Fahrenheit temperature.
  3. Sift all dry ingredients( flours, baking powder,salt and baking soda) to incorporate air.Keep aside.IMG_3135

  5. Place mashed bananas in a bowl. Add sugar,butter and mix well.                                          IMG_3133
  6. Add eggs, and vanilla essence and whisk for 2 minutes.                                                           IMG_3137
  7. Fold in all dry sifted flour.                                                                                                                    IMG_3138
  8. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips very gently.Do not over mix.                                              IMG_3141
  9. Transfer batter to greased  pan and bake for about 45 to 50  minutes at 180 degrees centigrade. or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.                             IMG_3143
